Booking Terms of Service
36 EXPOSURES · PHILADELPHIA, PA · EFFECTIVE JULY 2026
These terms apply to every booking with 36 Exposures ("Photographer"). Submitting a booking inquiry and sending the retainer constitutes acceptance of these terms. A signed booking agreement confirming your specific date, package, and fees will be provided with your booking confirmation.
1. Payment & Booking
Retainer. A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total fee reserves your event date. The date is not held until the retainer is received and verified. The balance is due on or before the day of the shoot, prior to the start of coverage.
Minimum & overtime. All bookings carry a two (2) hour minimum. Coverage beyond the booked hours, if requested and agreed on-site, is billed at $125 per hour in 30-minute increments. Travel beyond 25 miles is billed at $0.70 per mile, round trip.
2. Delivery & Turnaround
Edited images are delivered within five (5) business days of the shoot date. Film labs process Monday through Thursday; for weekend or holiday shoots, the turnaround clock begins on the next available lab processing day. 48-hour rush delivery is available for weekday shoots only, for an additional $100.
3. Revisions
Each package includes complimentary revision requests (five, or ten with The Archive), submitted together in a single batch within seven (7) days of gallery delivery. Additional revisions are $15 per photo. Revisions cover exposure, color, and skin-tone adjustments — not compositing, object or person removal, or re-shoots.
4. The Nature of Film
All images are captured on 35mm photographic film. Film cannot be previewed during the shoot, and a portion of exposed frames may be technically unusable. Photographer guarantees delivery of the minimum edited image count stated in the booked package — not any specific total number of frames.
Limitation of liability. In the rare event of lab error, film defect, camera malfunction, or loss of a roll, Photographer's total liability is limited to a refund proportional to the affected roll(s). Photographer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
5. Rights & Usage
Clients receive a non-exclusive, personal-use license to all delivered images, including sharing on personal social media. Photographer retains copyright in all images and may use delivered images for portfolio and marketing purposes unless the client opts out in writing before the shoot date.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations seven (7) or more days before the event: the retainer may be applied to a rescheduled date within 90 days. Cancellations fewer than seven (7) days before the event: the retainer is forfeited. If Photographer must cancel due to illness or emergency and no substitute is arranged, the client receives a full refund of all amounts paid, including the retainer. For outdoor shoots affected by severe weather or events beyond either party's control, both parties will reschedule in good faith with no penalty.
